I took a lot of photos over the decade from 2015 to 2025. I couldn’t remember the exact dates or years I took these so I have decided to separate them into the categories and the places in which the photos were taken. Some photos I have more memory of taking than others so some I’ll be able to write more about some than others.
Wepre Park

I have only been to Wepre Park once in my life and it was about ten years ago, but it I so lovely there. There is a playground and a cafe and a skatepark and a lovely walk in nature right up to a castle! There’s waterfalls and bridges and lots of trees. I would love to go back there one day, but it’s been so long now that I wouldn’t even know how to get there.
Somerset

I have been to Somerset a few times, but every time was pretty close together and again, it was almost a decade ago. I did find it really pretty around there. The first picture was some graffiti on a wall and it made me giggle so I decided to take a photo of it. The other pictures are of some cool looking benches. They look like a bus stop or something but they were in the middle of a pathway with no busses in sight.
Train Tracks

I have so many train track photos that I have taken over the decade! I guess that’s because train stations have always been my happy place. I have gone through so much in ten years and sometimes sitting in trains stations have always helped ground me. The first photo was taken in Hamilton Square, probably when I was in my way home from college. The second picture was the sunrise over Neston train station while I was waiting for my train to college. The third photo was of a train station that I used to have to get a connecting train at.

All four of these pictures were taken at Hadlow Road train station. I don’t think it is still an active train station anymore and no trains actually go to the station anymore but it is a stop along the wirral way. The first picture is a plaque talking about the history of the train station. I think Anne With An E had just come onto Netflix when I went to visit this station and it really reminded me of the station on the show.

The first picture was taken on the bridge at Bidston train station, I was most likely waiting for my train home. I used to have to wait at that station for over an hour as the small little train to my hometown was every hour and my college tutor HATED me and wouldn’t let me leave FIVE minutes earlier to I could make that hours train. I can’t remember where the second photo was taken, I remember I took it while actually on a train- I think I was going to Wales from my hometown. The third photo was taken on the same bridge at the train station I had to wait an hour at after college each day, but that was the other side of the bridge. The fourth photo was when I was waiting for a train at a weird train station in Wales where the train would only stop if you put your hand out when you saw the train coming like it was a bus, haha! Finally the last photo was taken at the train station at my home town.

Both the first and second photo were taken art my home town’s train station, both on different sides of the platform! The third photo was taken at a train station at Wales that I used to spend a lot of time at in my late teens and early twenties. The fourth photo was taken on the bridge of that train station I used to have to wait at after college. I have many photos from that train station as I had a lot of time to kill. The fifth photo was taken at the station you’d have to call for the train with your hand. The station was always so quiet it had a crossing on the tracks, which allowed me to take said photo.
Thurstaston

Thurstaston is a place I have passed through many times on my walks, but I have only ever been to this place in these photo once. Above is some of my favourite pictures- I took my polaroid camera with me, took a photo of a tree and then used my phone to take a photo of the polaroid of the tree next to the actual tree!

Most of these photos were taken during covid, as that was the one time I went there. the place these photos were taken is called Thurstaston rocks, and its really just a big cliff with views of fields, as you can see. Most of these photos are the same, but at the time of taking these, I was in my hippie “I love nature” era. I even have a photo of me on my bedroom wall of me on the same day these photos were taken, in a tie dye t-shirt, standing on a rock, haha.

It really was just miles and miles of fields. I am not sure where that far away land is- my educated guess is that it’s Wales or something. It really was a beautiful place though. I sat for a while on the rocks and just thought about whether I had travelled along any of those far away roads, it fills me full of so much wanderlust… But to be honest most things these days make me feel like that. I just want to explore- anywhere and everywhere.

I know these next photos all look kind of similar but the view changed ever so slightly the more I walked. There was smoke coming from somewhere, I don’t really know where it was coming from but I still took a photo of it, haha! Looking back at these photos now it’s weird to think how flat photos make the world look. you can’t really remember a place in 3D through a photo, nor how it felt or smelt.

I loved this bridge, and the fact it goes over a duck pond is a bonus! This is close to the visitor centre, there must be another way to get to the visitors centre but the only way I know it across that rickety looking bridge which is more dilapidated in person than it seems on a photograph, then there was some cool rocks, I don’t know if they had a meaning but I took a photo of them anyway.
Water

I will try my best to remember where each of these photos were taken. the first is from West Kirby Beach, the second was Thurstaston Beach, I think. the third and fourth photographs were also West Kirby Beach, I really like the houses on the fourth picture. And finally, the last photo was taken from the Mersey Ferry looking out at Liverpool. I have only been on the ferry once, I would love to go on it again.

The first photo was taken on a small dock on the other part of The Wirral Way path- going in the direction I hardly walk in. But back when I was out sixteen or seventeen, I used to sit there and look out as that pond and write and think about life. I think the second photo was from Parkgate Marsh, which attracts a lot of people from near and far for some reason I have yet to figure out. The third photo was also from West Kirby Beach, and the fourth was from Bromborough Woods. The fifth picture was West Kirby Beach once again and finally the sixth photo was Thurstaston beach.
Roads

The first photo of roads was taken in Parkgate, again looking out at Parkgate marsh, which is the same for photo three. the second photo was taken from my mums car, coming home from visiting my sister one time. I think the same goes for the fourth picture. I love taking photos of motorways, fills me full of adventure, weirdly enough.

The first picture was of the motorway at night, I am guessing it was taken on the way back from my sisters in the winter time, due to the nights going darker earlier. It is the same motorway on the second and third pictures, one taken in the eying and the other taken in the middle of the day. The fourth picture was of a cute looking road, I cannot remember exactly where it was taken but I think it was on the way into Wales. The fifth picture was taken of a motor way, from the top of a bridge.

All of these four photographs were take on different stretches of the same road. I think I took these when I still lived in my home town with my parents. And I think these photos were taken somewhere between my hometown and West Kirby, which me and my mum used to go there a lot to go to the shops, or to the car boot sales. The drive there was always very scenic, and the roads were always very empty.
Chester

I love Chester, I hardly get to go as much as I would like to anymore, but I hope to go some more this autumn or winter. They always have a good Christmas market! The first photo is of Chester clock. I’m not sure if it has an actual name. The second photo was taken somewhere between Chester and Deeside, which is in North Wales, but I think it was closer to Chester so that is why I have put it in the Chester category. The third picture was taken from the train of a marsh and a bridge on the way to Chester.

The first picture was of the clouds which I was walking in the big park in Chester. I know that park has a name but I cannot remember it off the top of my head though. The second picture is of a building near the old bus station, I am not too sure what building it is, knowing me, it’s probably something super important. The third picture was of a busy street around the winter time, probably during the Christmas market. The fourth picture was of a different angle of the famous Chester clock!

The first photo above is of a canal in Chester, which was a picture I took during covid. The second picture is an old one- it’s of Chester cathedral which I took while I was in college as one of my assignments was on old buildings or something. The third photograph was of a wicker woven bird which was in the park in Chester. There was a few of them dotted around but this one was my favourite one as I like birds a lot. The fourth picture is again of Chester cathedral but I am sure I took that one at a later date, I can’t remember.

The final two photos from Chester- the first being along the walk that you can do where you walk on top of a roman wall that was build in the roman times, a lot of it has worn away so there are gaps on the wall where you have to walk on the path. The last photo was a funny sign I saw many years ago. it made me chuckle so I just had to take a photo of it, it must be nearly ten years old now!
Liverpool

I do have a love hate relationship with Liverpool, it is a great city but it is always so busy. But despite that, I always try and take some fun pictures whenever I’m there- which is a lot more now that it used to be as I live so close to it now. The first photo was of a sunset with the Radio City tower in the background. The second photo was from when I was walking around the docks and I saw this… grid looking thing in the water and I was intrigued, so I took a photo. The third photo was a cool bottle light that was in the water, it was pretty big, maybe 10 foot or longer! And the fourth photo was some neon coloured rocks, I don’t known why they were in Liverpool- I don’t think they’re there anymore but they were pretty cool!

The last three photos from Liverpool are super random! the first one was when I saw a pine cone on the floor of a small park that I found near Liverpool. The second photo is of the famous cavern club sign. The third photo is of bench, I think it was from the same park where I saw the pine cone from the first picture. I thought the bench was super fun and colourful so I had to take a photo of it.
Southport

I have not been to southport much- and I haven’t been for a number of years, so I don’t have many pictures. I would really like to go again one day. It is such a clean and quiet place, especially in comparison to places like Blackpool. The first two photos are of a cool bridge. I am sorry about the quality, at this point, these photos are over ten years old. The last phot is of a fountain that I thought was super pretty!
Sunsets & Sunrises

There is so many sun sets and sunrises. I am going to try to remember where each one of them was taken. The first was a sunrise on the way to college one morning. The second was a sunset over the river dee, which looked so pretty with the sun shimmering down onto the water. The third photo was a sun set from my bedroom window when I still lived with my parents in one of the houses we lived in when I was a teenager. The fourth was taken at the same place as the second picture, but I don’t think they were taken on the same day.

The first photo was in a field that I always used to sit in to… think- back when I was a teenager. It was behind the church in my house town and I would find so much peace sitting there when I was sad or anxious. The second picture was again taken from one of my bedroom windows back when I lived with my parents. The third photo was taken from the train when I was coming home from college one winters evening. The fourth picture was taken one evening near a train station that my parents had to pick me up from as I got lost, haha! The last picture in this section was a photo I took outside of one of my colleges when I was a teenager, the sunset was looking super pretty that night.

The first photo in this section was again taken in the field behind the church in my hometown where I would go to sit and think. The second photo was the sunrise at the train station in my hometown as I was waiting for the train to college. The third and fourth photo were taken in the same place, and most likely on the same day. They were taken on a promenade in a town close to the one I live in now. It’s really pretty there nd they have a funfair and even an arcade!

The first photo in this section is again taken on the promenade near my town that I live in. The second photo was of that train station that I was always stuck at fir an hour waiting for the train home from college, the sunset was super pretty that night and looked so cool next to the train tracks. The last three photographs were taken on Weston Super Mare beach. the first of the three was cool as it was a photo of lots of birds looking out to the sea. The second photo was unintentional but I caught a family in the distance looking out at the sea. and the last photo of this section was of some rock in the distance. All three photos were taken during a very pretty sunset.

All of these photos were also taken on Weston Super mare beach. The first and second photos in this section were taken on each side of the pier. The third picture was of the sea and a rock far off in the distance. And lastly, the final picture in this section was of a rock in the middle of the sea. I can’t tell if it was the same rock that is in the third picture. All of these photos were again taken in the middle of a pretty sunset.

The first photo was again taken at Bidston train station, which was the train station I used to have to sit at for an hour every day as my train to my remote home town was once an hour and my Art tutor wouldn’t let me leave FIVE MINUTES early to make that hours train. The second photo was a picture I took of a sunset on a train, I think I was going from my hometown into Wales. The third photo has always looked like a painting to me. I think it was because of the way the clouds are. This picture was taken by my old high school.

The first two pictures in the last section of sunset and sunrise photos were taken from the car overlooking a field. At the time of taking them I thought they looked super cool, like something off an African safari. The third picture was again taken in my thinking field, I didn’t realise until now how much time I must have spent in that field. Most of that time is a blur to me now. The last photo was taken from one of my childhood bedroom windows, I think it was a sunset, but it could have been a sunrise.
Fields & Nature

I forgot about these photos! I am still meaning to go to that park to get one and the same place but when it’s snowing! But I took a photo in the park in my hometown every season. The first one being in the spring with the cherry blossoms, the second being in the summer with vibrant green leaves and the things being autumn with the leaves browning and falling off the trees. The fourth photograph was taken in the winter, but there was no snow! I think for the set to truly be complete, I need one with snow. I will post it on one of my future blogs when I get around to taking it, if I haven’t already by the time this post comes out. I will like it here when it’s out, if I remember.

This selection of photos contain a little bit of everything. I cannot remember where the first photo was taken, it is of a field somewhere. The second photo were some small pretty pink flowers that were growing behind the church in my home town. I probably took the picture on the way to or from my thinking field. The third photo was taken on the same day, very close to where I took the photo of the flower. The fourth photo is a farmyard shed thing, I took it years ago, I cannot remember where. Looking back at it now in 2026, it gives me proper Noah Kahan vibes. The fifth photo was of the same park in my hometown that I took all the seasonal photographs, but this one has a pink tree in it too.

The first photo in this section was taken from the window in an old apartment I lived in with my parents about ten years ago, I thought the autumnal tree was cute. The second picture was taken on a field that I sometimes walk through to get onto The Wirral Way, the fourth photo was taken in the same field- most likely on the same day. The third photo was taken when my parents took my to an air field. I was pretty bored there but I was just watering around taking pictures, haha!

The first photo in this section was taken in the same park, and on the same pathway as the photos of all four seasons, but it was taken the other end of the pathway. The second picture was another one from the airfield that my parents took me to. The third picture was taken on a train on its way into Wales. When I looked out of the window I saw a mysterious looking car just drinking through the field. The fourth picture, was once again, taken in the thinking field. Wow, I really was there a lot, wasn’t I? And the final photo of this section was at the same park in my home tome, but this time its of a tree and a bench.

I cannot remember where the first photo in this section was taken, but it was a pretty green gate that looked like the entrance to a woodland wonderland. The second picture again, is that same pathway from the four seasons photographs but with the camera pointed in the opposite direction. The third photograph is from the same park but from the forest parts with, what I think are birth trees. It is a really pretty park, looking back at it. And considering the size of my hometown, the park was pretty big too. The last photo in the above section was also from that park, it had a little bit tucked away from all the rest, with a little blue bridge. I used to sit there a lot when I was a teenager, it was pretty peaceful.

The first photo of this section was some pretty flowers that were growing in my parent’s garden. I cannot remember what garden it was exactly but I know the photo is pretty old. The second photo was taken from my mums car, it was in the car park of a clothes shop called Matalan. I was about 19 at the time of this photo and recovering from agoraphobia at the time so my mother would take me out but I wasn’t yet ready to go into the stores, so I took this photo of a tree from the car window, while mother was perusing the clothes. The third photo was also taken from my parent’s garden- it is of a sun dial that my parents have had since before I was born! The fourth photo was some big daisy looking flowers that were in the front garden of my old house, they reminded me of someone special. The last photo of this section was from the park in my hometown, the view from sat on the bench during springtime.

The pretty tree was also from the park in my hometown, I find it so fascinating how trees can turn pink, of all colours. The second photo was the same photo but taken in the summer instead of the spring. It’s only now that I’ve noticed I have the same photo take in two seasons. The third photo was of a field, it is pretty close to my thinking field, and I thought it looked pretty. The same is for the fourth photo, which always reminds me of such happier times. I remember frolicking in this field because of someone.

The first picture was another one of the seasonal photos that I think I took at a later date. The second picture was some pretty flowers on a trellis- I cannot remember where I took the picture, but it was in a garden somewhere. The third photo was in the park in my hometown, on the same pathway as the seasonal pictures but taken at the other end of the path, and the same is for the fourth picture, which was taken closer to the bench. The last picture in the section was taken on a woodland walk I went on and there was a gap in the trees that looked out to a field.

The first picture is a field full of daisies, which will always remind me of someone very special to me. I cannot remember where it was taken, but I thin it was somewhere near my hometown. The second and last picture in this section was of a field called Park’s Field which is close to my hometown, and I used to walk through it when I was coming and going from the wirral way.
Wildlife

The first photo in this section for wildlife is a random Canadian goose. This wasn’t the same goose that chased me that one time in 2024, luckily. I think this one was taken in Chester. The same can be said for the ducks in photos two and four, they were taken in some park in Chester. I love ducks so much, I find them so iconic- the way they quack and waddle, and walk in a line. The third picture was of a ladybird which I saw outside in town, just randomly chilling on a fence post or something.

There were not many photos of wildlife, I guess I wasn’t as much into wildlife then as I am now. The first photo in this section is an emu… I think? I don’t even know where this was taken… At a petting zoo I’m guessing. The second, third, fourth and fifth photos were all taken in the same place- At the pond near Thurstaston Beach. There was one duck in the pond and he was so cute! Just swimming around with the whole pond to himself, it looked so picturesque and peaceful.
Blackpool

I also hadn’t taken many photos of Blackpool back in the day either. Though back then my mother did not drag me there every year like she does now. The first photo was taken at night of the ferris wheel thing on the south pier. Then the second picture is a neon sign that says ‘hand made fudge’, which as of writing this in 2026, is still there today. The third and fourth pictures are both taken at night, the first of the two being of Blackpool Tower, and the second just being a road at night.
Random

Here is a selection of random photographs that I took in the last decade that didn’t fit in any of the other categories. The first being a tree with two sets of two cute birds in it, like a pair or lovebirds or two! Super cute. The second is a photo of a fun little trick I can do. when in the bath or shower you can make a bubble using soap, I then put a rubber duck inside of the bubble. The third photo was of a small waterfall in the park in my hometown. photograph number four was of a sunny day as I sat in the car in Morrisons car park many years ago. The last being some fluffy clouds, I cannot remember where I took it though.
Wirral Way

There are a lot of photos of the wirral way from the past decade as I spent a lot of time walking through there. My thinking field was off of it too, so it was overall a place I would go a lot. There a lot of photos of pathways- looking at how empty the place was always filled my heart with peace. There are also many photos of bridges, one being on the second photo. This is because at the time I was in my first year of college and one of my assignments was like architecture of bridges… very apt, I know. So Ia thought, while I did this walk almost every weekend, I might as well collect some bridge photos too!

The first photo in this section was always my favourite back in the day. All these photos give me serious Noah Kahan vibes now, but back then I didn’t know who he was. Photos one, three and four are just of long stretches of pathways, while photos two and five were even more bridges. most of the bridges do look the same, which is something I quickly started to realise. Though, a few of them were slightly different- a bit like how the bridge in the second photo is more square than the bridge in the fifth photo.

The first photo was a pathway that had almost a rooftop of leaves, it felt like I was in an enchanted forest or something! Then I came across some cool looking steps- I don’t know where they lead to, I am guessing someone’s back garden. Then the third photo was just another long stretch of pathway. The final photograph was of a tree, which was taken towards the start of the stretch of the wirral way in my home town.

The first photo in this section was the start of the wirral way bit that started in my home town. That photo was taken right outside of the Thinking Field. The second photo is of a gate with a lot of greenery around it. The third photo was again some cool steps. The fourth picture was a gate and a little bridge to get into the gate which I thought was fun. Then the last photo is of a bridge in the distance which is on a stretch of the wirral way that is in my hometown.

Looking back now, the first photo on this section was very similar to the last photo on the last section, but that’s okay, because it is slightly different, haha! The second photo was one of the exits of the wirral way that was in my hometown. I remember also really liking the third photo, back when I took it, I don’t know why. It, in a small way, gives me the same sort of wanderlust feeling that seeing motorways/freeways gives me. It’s like I could walk and walk and just… vanish. The fourth photo was another bridge but I took this one at a different angle as that was needed for the assignment I was doing I college.

The first photo was a little plank bridge leading up to some stairs, I did not go up the stairs so I don’t know where it leads to. The second photo was of a very narrow pathway that I found, and at the other end of it was the tree that is photographed in the third photograph. The last photo in this section is yet again, another hot of the thinking field. I might as well just titled this post “The Thinking Field (& Other Photos Too)” haha. A tree had fell down or was cut down- im not sure, but it made for some good photos.

The first photo in this section was yet another picture of a bridge for my assignment at college. The second photo was other another empty pathway but this was more like a road. It was super wide and it didn’t have the same rocky floor that the rest of the Wirral Way has. I cannot remember where I took the third photo so I thought I would throw it in here- it is some leaves, looking out to an ocean. And the last photo in this section was a pretty part of a forest with a tree that had been cut down and lots of purple flowers dotted around.

Finally onto the last section. I think all these photos were taken around the same part of my walk. The trees were super green here and there was hardly anyone around even thought the weather was lovely. I remember these photos were taken some tome after the rest of the photos, I think my mum was with me during these last photos and I think it was during covid times, which is such a bizarre time to look back on.
I hope everyone enjoyed looking back at the decade of my photography as much as I did. see you all in the next post!
