My Second Quarter Of 2026

So amazed I’m actually keeping on top of these posts. I promised myself I would and I am! Anyway this is what I’ve been up to from April until the end of June in 2026, not the most exciting but… that’s me!

April

This quarter started with my birthday cake on April 1st. I blew out my candles alone but I did make a wish, all I hope is that my wish comes true. I have the YouTube short link HERE, uploaded to my second YouTube channel, as uploading videos here takes up all my memory, and yes I am singing the Moe Szyslak Birthday Song from The Simpsons haha!

Then that afternoon I was editing my birthday video which watching TCKR on YouTube. I managed to get both last quarters blog and my birthday YouTube video up on the first day of April, which surprised me as I had so much to do but I, as the YouTube bros say, locked in… or something like that.

On the 2nd, it was shopping day. The past two shopping days had been a bit everywhere. The first one being a little too health and then the total opposite for the second. So as we can see from when I was scanning everything, I tried to find a happy medium!

Does it seem a little weird to have full photos of my food haul? Yes. But I take them, not for my blog, but for ChatGPT. Every time I gone home from grocery shopping I take a picture of everything for the robot and then said robot makes meal ideas for me with my… ingredients. It’s a life saver. But, it also means I get to do a food haul here too!

The evening after my shopping trip I started making my pasta salad, which, now I know how to cook salmon, which I bought I lot of, I can make a salmon pasta salad! Then it was SadGirlHour™️ so I walked around town in the rain listening to sad songs. Thinking of all my regrets and the person I miss a lot.

Then I was organising my next two weeks of meds. I’m on, all in all, about 700mg a day now- but I take more at night then I do in the morning (about a 450mg & 250mg split) as I have dreadful insomnia but for some reason my psychiatrist just gave me heaps of 100 & 150 packs and was like “eh, figure it out” which made me stressed.

This was my meal-prepped pasta salad along with a fillet of salmon that I air-fried at 180°C for 12ish minutes. It still looks like cat food to me but it did taste rather good.

Then I booked a trip to Rhodes, Greece! Not until October 17th, but I’ll definitely make a blog post about it like the one I did in Spain. I’m already scared of the flight, I don’t know why, it’s only a four hour flight… but… maybe I should stop watching plane crash documentaries.

On the Saturday of Easter weekend, I cleaned my house and I made a salmon, egg & potato salad. I guess all this healthy eating is going to be good for both my weight and my cholesterol, both which are getting me down lately.

When it’s cold or/and windy outside, I sit here. This is in the stairwell of my apartments. My apartment does have windows, but it just looks out at other windows… in the wise words of Anne of Green Gables, it provides no scope for the imagination. I also may or may not sit here after taking the stairs and subsequently feeling a little out of breath. Whoops.

I finally put my new blanket at the foot of my bed that I got from IKEA on my birthday. It was the exact shade of yellow that I was looking for as well! I also moved the throw pillows from the sofa onto my bed too to make it look a little less… bland.

I hardly ever take selfies anymore, simply because I despise the way I look. But I got this new hoodie that says ‘don’t lose hope’ which was a mystery hoodie from an online store and it’s like the universe knew I needed to hear that. So I took a selfie in it.

A bit of a sneak peek of my project again. This is how I spend the evening of Easter Sunday. It’s currency for my game I’m making, and each denomination has 10 pages. A lot of printing indeed!

On bank holiday Monday, I made some rice & vegetables & salmon for dinner, and then did some journalling in my book that everything goes in. From novel ideas, to poetry, to my feelings. I decorated it with alphabet stickers and it fit perfectly on the lines!

The second week of April was a little bit of everything. Making music, and working on my project with a camera staring me down every moment because, well, YouTube. And then I went for lunch out after choir practice on the Wednesday.

In the last bit of the second week of April, I went on a tiny mission on the train to see how long it would take to get to my choir by train. With fuel prices skyrocketing, my mum taking me each week is not only not helping the fuel shortages, or the environment, but my independence too.

It had been years since I had been at that exact station, at a time I would like to forget, so I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t giving me bad vibes.

That very next morning I was on the bus before 10:00am! I was in my way to my parents to wait in for a package or two as they were both at work. I was particularly excited for this package as it was my new backpack! The one I have now is so big and bulky, one of these days I’m going to accidentally give someone concussion when I fling it onto my back on the bus, so I needed a new one!

This was the package that I was waiting ALL DAY for at my parent’s house but it was worth it. My mum took one look at the bag and said “oh yes, that’s very… you”. Thanks, I think? And my new phone case can hold cards in it so I shall never lose my bus pass again! Yes I do have a bus pass, I told you I’m like, 93, remember?

Some of the other photos from that same day. Once my mum was home from work we went out and I got costa, and I bought some shampoo and conditioner which is meant to help my hair grow. I probably got scammed out of £23 realistically though. Then I went home and had to wash all my paint pots!

While I was at my parents though, this is how I spent the entire morning and the first part of the afternoon. Since the painting for my money for my project was done, it was now time for the time consuming task of colouring the details.

Was still at it at the end of that weekend. I really underestimated how long adding the details was going to do, as just one sixth of the things took two full days. That means at this rate it’ll take close to a month to get them all done. I also make my favourite bland meal once again, though somehow I’m still lot losing an ounce of weight. Not a fan.

No but this is how I spent about two whole weeks in mid April. Working on my project with my camera pointed at me. Then uploading the footage. This was the case for yes, multiple weeks. So not much else to report other than that.

Mid April was full of lots of the same boring routine. My bus rides to post packages of things I’ve sold, as well as a random selfie in the mirror of the lift. Saying that, why do lifts even have mirrors? That’s something for me to google at 2:53am. The third picture was my usual health food. Wow I miss fries. And burgers. Fourth picture is when I was at the train station, on my way into the city with my Poke ball to catch Pokemon!

I always forget the Mersey trains have had a glow up. How fun. Second picture was a thing I ate that had like 60g of protein in, whatever that even means. Then it was back to working on my project, as well as playing a bit of retro animal crossing in the bus, obviously.

Speaking of Animal Crossing, Maple said the realest thing ever to me. And then on that Saturday I made my boring dinner and edited all of that week’s footage, like a multitasking queen, apparently.

The third week of April was a little chaotic, but in a good way. I was having dinner at my parent’s house when my dad was tending the garden, and we found two baby kittens. Less than a day old, I was told. They were the exact same colour as our adopted stray cat, Indies, last kittens, but we haven’t seen her in months. So we don’t know who these kittens belonged to.

We waited for hours to see if mama cat came back but to no avail, so we took the kittens to my mums coworker, who rescues cats. as I wrote this, it’s been a week- they’re drinking powder milk from the vets and the tabby one especially is a guzzler. I shall keep you all updated on them. I also had choir and now the weather is warmer I’m able to get out more and play Pokemon go!

One weekend at the end of April I went to the ice cream shop and I got my favourite ice cream. I used to come here all the time as a kid, as it was in walking distance from my home town along a nature trail, but since moving to the outskirts of the city, I never get to come here as much.

I don’t have any photos of the other kitten, but this is the kitty after a week from finding them. The woman who’s looking after them keeps us updated and the tabby one is putting on a lot of weight, but he still hasn’t opened his eyes.

May

The first week of May was taken up by cleaning one of my neighbours kitchen. He struggles with his mental health, and I can understand his struggles so I thought I would lend him a helping hand. The first two pictures were the only ‘before’ photos I took of the kitchen.

I also cleaned his bathroom. He didn’t ask me to, but he did ask me to “give his bath a quick rinse”, but anyone who knows me knows I don’t just half-do something, if I start something, I see it thought to the end. And yes I did spend most of the time cleaning the mould thoroughly off the shower mat thing, haha.

And here are the after photos. All in all, it took about two hours… but an hour of that was cleaning the shower mat, and about half an hour was cleaning the floor. everything else took about half an hour in total as I am a super fast cleaner. Now I have a happy neighbour!

There was a hard bit of mental at one of the self checkouts in my local Asda, and it sliced right under my nail. So much blood. Yuck. So I cheered myself up with a trip to Burger King. Luckily my nail is still very much in tact!

Sadly, the black kitten from earlier in my post didn’t make it. He’s gone to drink milk with God now. The little tabby one, who I’ve called Sheldon, is doing well, but he’s gone to stay elsewhere so I don’t have any photos of him.

But, when my dad was getting the ladders out of his shed the first week in May, he came across four little kittens in a box, all healthy and much older than Sheldon. Their mum is Odey, the fluffy tabby offspring of Indie Boon, who you’ll know about if you read my 2025 post.

We top them out of the box and gave them a drawer with a soft blanket in and they seem much happier. We give Odey 3-4 pouches of food a day so she doesn’t have to go out and hunt so she can stay with the babies. I have named them Biscuit, Muffin, Crumpet & Noah Kahan. Weirdly, my mum named the last one. That’s the one I want to keep (at my parent’s house obviously).

This is me and Noah Kahan the kitten. I love them so much, Noah is the smallest one out of all of them, but I love him… I hope it’s a boy because I don’t know any girls called Noah! Haha.

It was the start of the month again, which meant it was time for my month grocery shopping trip! I once again took pictures to send to ChatGPT so it can help me through the month make meal ideas and stuff.

This pizza looked so much nicer than it tasted. Though I did eat it like… three days out of date. I would have froze it but my tiny little apartment freezer does not fit in pizzas, sadly.

This is Noah Kahan the kitten. In the first picture he is yelling at me. But my mother has instructed me to bond with the kittens, so that is what I’m doing. I read him a book, and I sand the Soft Kitty song to him, the one from The Big Bang Theory.

The second week in May consisted of me stressed as I was putting two of these wall lamps together. They’re for my hallway, eventually, once I have wallpapered it. I was hoping I could put them up with picture hooks but I think I, or more like my dad, will have to drill them onto the wall. I don’t know if that will be in this post, more likely the next post for the third quarter of my year!

On May 13th, I went to choir and then my parent’s house, to see Noah Kahan the kitten. And then I went to a McDonald’s that I haven’t been too in a long time, one that brings back bittersweet memories and complicated feelings. But, why was I dressed like… that? Well. I was singing for the Mayor that evening, in this building:

I did not take this picture I stole it from Google x

I was told I had to ‘dress nice’, but even with my favourite blazer on, I still felt underdressed. Lots of photos were taken, but as of writing this, I don’t have them. We also got a certificate- but only one for the whole choir. I should have taken a picture of it, yet, I did not. But here are some pictures I took while waiting for the rest of my choir to arrive, as I’m always stupidly early.

So I may have not taken a picture of the certificate, but my choir teacher did. I had to wait days for them to put the photographs on social media. I don’t mind sharing these ones as everyone agreed they were fine with photos for the paper and the news websites, which reach much bigger audiences than my little blog!

Above is the certificate we got, and below are the photos of me and my choir. I hated the first photo at first. The photographer caught me in mid-laugh at something the guy next to me said. I didn’t look perfect. But the more I looked at it the more I realised… “oh, I look… happy… really really happy” and that’s all I’ve ever wanted.

Anyway, back to the real world. I decided to totally overhaul my life in the third week of May. I usually do this once or twice a year, nothing new here. It usually involves donating or selling most of my clothes and things I don’t like, and buying new things with the money I made from selling my old stuff.

The first picture was me and Fletcher Fox. I sold him. He was giving me bad vibes as I got him for my 26th birthday and that was not a good time at all. The second photo was in the middle of my Vinted photographing afternoon haha! The third picture is off to mail packages and the bus was empty… midday on a Saturday.

The kittens are getting so big! I brought two of them on to the grass so they could explore on a sunny day. They loved it so much! They’re too young to leave their mama yet, but once they’re old enough we are going to put them in a playpen inside, as long as they don’t run off before then, as their mama is feral.

During the third week of May I sorted my mother’s sewing basket. Which meant meticulously putting many pins in the little pin… tomato? According to my mother, her sewing basket hadn’t been organised for about thirty years!!

To say thank you, mother took me Popeyes, which is my new favourite place. As it has Vanilla Coke. You cannot get this in England usually, and I’ve missed it ever since Australia. I miss Australia so much. We also watched the Michael Jackson movie which was very good!

That night my Coke bottle picture I put in the wall a month or so ago, fell off the wall, which knocked the heater off the wall! Whoops. I had to report it in the horrible website thingy which took almost all night to navigate. Was not a fan.

That next day I went to the movies on my own. It was the first time I had done that in a long time. The last time I attempted to do that was around Christmas time last year which failed. But I did it! I went to watch Sheep Detectives. And I even went to Popeyes by myself! I did it for the Vanilla Coke, obviously.

That weekend I was sat at home, when my mum sent me a picture of the kittens… and why does that middle one look like it’s seen a ghost? I still cry laughing every time I look at his little face. That was literally my face when my heater fell off the wall in the middle of the night, haha.

In may, I achieved these awards and I’m super proud! Especially if the purple one. Like, people from FIFTY countries have read my words? Seen my life? That is just so bewildering to think about! The other achievement makes me giggle, that’s because I’ve spent the past three months editing this very post haha!

At the end of this year I’m going to Greece for a week. So I thought I might as well start learning at least a little bit of Greek before I go. I know I’ll never be as fluent as I am in Spanish, but it’s a start!

By late May, it was time for my party! The same party I throw in the 24th May every year, which I call my “independence day”. I, like every year, got some party hands, balloons and a candle in the number of the amount of years that I have lived alone for. But then came the painstaking task of blowing up every balloon all on my own.

It always makes me emotional to add a new photo to this collection. we have the first one in 2022, and then this year’s one, in 2026! My room hasn’t really changed much between 2025 and 2026, but I did get new tables next to my bed and new lamps!

FOUR YEARS! Though, I do hate these pictures. I had to flip them so the four candle was facing the right way in the picture and it makes my face look… weird. Obviously, Snoops gets to be in one of the pictures too, with his own party hat and balloon. You don’t know how hard it was to attach that ballon to snoops hand! But I managed it somehow, haha!

The kittens! They have gotten so big. One weekend in late May, me and my dad sorted out the shed to make it a lot better for the kittens, and while we were doing that, we had to move the kittens out of the way so they didn’t get hurt, so we put them in the washing basket! The second picture was a result of that, and it gives me school photography vibes!

That next week, the weather was so hot! So I did something that, for some bizarre reason, made me super anxious previously. Which was going to the park on my own. Not to do anything, just to sit on my picnic blanket and work on my craft projects or to eat my snacks. This was a selfie I took, and because I had sunglasses on, I didn’t see how sunburnt I was getting… whoops.

But, despite how scared I was, I actually did it! And I am so glad I did, as it was probably my favourite day of my whole month! Despite getting very burnt, like it was the worst sunburn I ever got but it was worth it. I actually got some sunscreen now though!

The next day I went to choir and even thought it was very hot, I had to cover up my arms because of my sunburn which ended up being a lot worse then I had initially thought. So I pulled out my clothes meant for my holidays and put on my very thin shirt, and leggings.

Every month on my iPhone it prompts me to do a wellness check in for both depression and anxiety. for my depression, it is still very all over the place, just as its been for pretty much half of my entire existence. But what I didn’t notice, and what surprised me was my anxiety level slowly dropping little by little throughout the months. I don’t know why, or if the medication I started early February has anything to do with it, but I am grateful either way.

Just some random photos to end the month with. A picture go my feet lol, I think I took this while waiting on the steps outside of my apartment building for my mother to pick me up. The second picture is Euko, she’s looking so grown up now!

June

Life was getting… too much, so my mum took me to Blackpool. Randomly and spontaneously, which wasn’t really something I wanted but it was a nice distraction. The first picture was a salad I bought from the bakery before I left on the bus. The second picture is when I was waiting for my bus to the train station and the third is my little suitcase on the bus haha. The fourth picture was when I stopped at a cafe in the station for a drink while I waited for my train.

On the train I got out my laptop, SD card and card reader and got the majority of my editing done on the train, which actually gave me something to do and made the train ride pass quickly. Then when I got off the train and started walking to the apartment that my mother had booked on a whim, I saw this cool pride crossing.

Mother went out for half an hour to the local Sainsbury’s so that she could get me some snacks in and so I had a while to do my filming for YouTube. the first picture is the haul she brought back from the shop haha! the second photo is from when I had a shower, which was probably the only none terrible part of the whole apartment. I will be making a separate post about it which should be out the end of July. The third picture was me in my happy place- on a tram! And the fourth picture was the best part of my day, an ice cream.

One of the only good things about the apartment I stayed in (at least for the first night of my trip) was this big mirror. It is even better than my long mirror back home! The floor may look clean from this picture, but I can assure you all, it was not. Also I don’t know what that stain was on the back part of the kitchen floor, it was like a burn stain? Or a chemical stain? I’m not sure.

On the first night of my trip I went for dinner in a restaurant in the arcade where I had a very chewy chicken burger and the type of chips I do not like, as I really don’t like chips that are too… potatoey. Yes, I am one of the world’s fussiest eaters I guess. The place was pretty much empty though, which was a bonus.

After dinner I went to the arcades for a while, where I first tried winning this rubber duck, to no avail. So once I had gotten board of that I went to one of my favourite machine things to win tickets, and then I went into the over 18’s area to play on King Kong Cash, where the attendants made a bee line for me, as I really must not look over eighteen, which I will take as a compliment. I did end up winning £11.30 on King Kong Cash though!

On my first morning I went for a McDonald’s breakfast. I never get to eat these at home as, well, I am never usually up and dressed in time but on this morning I was, as frankly, I did not sleep. the people in the apartment above us were so loud all night. I don’t do well on a lack of sleep so I woke up from the minuscule amount of sleep I did have with a sore throat… at 7am. My mum told my dad who then paid for me to stay in a premier inn for the rest of the trip, leaving my mother in the loud and dirty apartment.

That afternoon the weather was a little drizzly but that was not going to stop me from getting an ice cream. I had to kill time until 3pm anyway as I was not able to check into my Premier Inn until then, so I spent the rest of the morning and the early afternoon moseying around the arcades trying to win teddies and tickets.

Mother left me for a while to go to a market or something, I am not a fan of markets, there is something off-putting about crowds of people around outdoor tables full of food. There is sure going to attract flies or something, right? Anyway, I won’t this little Highland cow. I won a bigger one a few years back and I called it Inertia after the AJR song. So this, is Baby Inertia.

Closer to 3pm, but still not yet quite 3pm, I found a cafe to I could get a cold drink to take some pain meds for my sore throat. I noticed on their menu that they did salt and pepper chicken! That is my favourite food ever, and it’s rare to see a random cafe do it. I thought it was only a Chinese dish that you could get in restaurants and some chip shops.

Just a random selfie while I was sat somewhere outside drinking my coke and then I went to another arcade, one that I think is easier to win teddies at, and I won this Pooh Bear. I did used to have a Eeyore one, but I gave that away last year to someone. Not happy about that at all. That picture of Pooh Bear was taken in the grotty apartment while I went back to pick up my stuff to take to the Premier Inn.

I then went to check in to my hotel, where it was much cleaner and the ceilings were much higher than in the grotty apartment (it will all make sense when I post my apartment tour of said grotty apartment) so I was much happier. I didn’t even need to talk to anyone at the front desk as they have added the screens to check in, which were not there last time! And the view out my room’s window was even a church, haha!

As I am writing this it is a heatwave and I am sit in front of a fan as British homes were not built for the heat, I miss this hoodie. I miss wearing hoodies. I was in the lift when I took this selfie- I cannot remember where I was coming or going from but most likely to the arcade, I really love the arcade it makes me feel like a kid again!

That night I went to the bingo- I am lazy so I got an Uber there and an Uber back, haha. I had whatever the hell Hunters chicken is and it was gross- and again it had those which chips that are just far too potatoey. But then I got my favourite ice cream! I don’t know why a random bingo in Blackpool has an ice cream machine but I am not complaining.

While I was on my way home in the Uber I took these cute sunset pictures, I love the sunset it is one of my favourite times of the day! I did take a few pictures like this many years ago. I cannot remember if the photos are of the sunset or in the dark, but they will be in a later post at some point this year of a detailed account of all my photography over the past decade.

The next morning I went to a lovely cafe- I don’t know why but I felt deja vu in the cafe even thought a part of me knows I had never been there before. I cried halfway through eating, that’s all I remember about that. For good reasons though, don’t worry. We didn’t know what we were going to do today yet but we decided on the aquarium and then afternoon tea somewhere.

For the rest of the morning I went to the arcades where I won two teddies! I think I am getting good at winning them, haha. The first one I won was a small raccoon called Sneeps and Mr Beans teddy which was surprisingly good quality considering it was from an arcade! After that I went to Wetherspoons for a drink, pretty much so I could take some more pain killers as my throat was still hurting today.

Then I went to SeaLife for the first time since I was a small baby. I loved it so much. Mother thought I would have been bored but little did she know I had about twenty years of experience on Animal Crossing so I spent most of the time telling mother about all the fish in great detail, like I was Blathers the owl.

Here are some more of the fishes, there was a few sharks, especially in the last part of the attraction where you go under the big tunnel but there were swimming kind of fast and they were pretty far away so I wasn’t able to get any good pictures of them. But look at how pretty the fish are, I loved them all so much I was going around giving them all names haha.

Just before we went for afternoon tea we went to the arcades to cash in all the tickets, where I got a little lamp thing and a selfie stand thing with a light on it. Then I went to McDonalds, again for a drink to take pain medication. While I was sat there I googled places to have afternoon tea and I decided on the Blackpool Tower as I had never been in the ballroom before and I was a little anxious.

Afternoon tea was one of the funnest afternoons of the whole year! Wait, is that weird? Probably, but, it really was so wonderful. We got shown to our seat and shortly after that the person brought over the tea things and the fancy thing of cakes and sandwiches. Then the person asked if we wanted our photo taken to which I declined. Then I got to watch all the old people ballroom dance, I was definitely the youngest one there, by decades. I was mesmerised by how in sync they all were, it was magical!

That night I went to the bingo again, but a different bingo. Where I ate chicken wings and chips… still the chips that I am not a fan of, but I guess I was getting used to those kind of chips now. I still was feeling a little under the weather, but anyone who watches my YouTube would know that I get sick every time I go to Blackpool. It is why I don’t like going at all.

On the last morning I had breakfast at the Premier Inn and I let my mum leave her suitcase in my room as we ate breakfast. But really I just wanted to introduce her to the friend I made that night, Sleepy the spider. Yes, I did leave that sign there for the cleaners to find. I hope it made them giggle. Then I sat in the lobby and waited for my uber to take me the whole four minutes to the train station… I was still not well, okay? Haha.

Once back home, YouTube Music sent me the thingy to show me my most listened to playlist and artists over the last three months (March, April & May). Obviously, my most listened to playlist was the one I made for someone special a while ago. I listen to it when I’m sad, or anxious, or even cleaning. The second picture is my five top songs, which are all pretty different from each other haha. The third imagine was my top artists and the fourth picture is all the artists I’ve been a top listener to this quarter.

I got back into Duolingo towards the end of June, and I hadn’t been doing my Spanish so I restarted the learning path to jog my memory. Then I started to learn how to play chess on Duolingo too, which I have been getting surprisingly quite good at, considering I have never played chess before in my life. I didn’t even know any of the rules but now I do!

The first picture was when I went for lunch after choir. Then I played a lot of Duolingo and I earned more XP that day than I had ever earned before! Then I bought a truck off Vinted to match the rest of the Woolworths Bricks. Then I played my Fitness Boxing 3 game and I got all perfects! I was very proud, it even said my fitness age was 18, hays like nine years younger than my actual age.

There are some more of my Duolingo achievements from the end of June, such as getting the Speedy Racer thingy, which I think is getting 5000 XP in timed challenges. The second image is when I got first place in the obsidian league and I hit a 100 day streak!

Some of the last pictures from June was when I built the little Woolworths truck, which was much easier than I expected it to be. And then on one of the last days of Junes I was getting the train to Manchester and so I bought some lunch to eat on the train.

And with that, that’s all I got up to in April, May and June!
