Updated Home Tour 2025

It had occurred to me earlier this year that I totally forgot to make an updated home tour post last year. I was not in a good place mentally last February though- to my defence. Anyway, it may be two and a half years later, but I am back. I may make this a yearly thing in May, or a bi-yearly thing (I hope that means once every two years, not twice a year whoops!)

The progress in my home is slow, but everything I do, I do by myself and I am proud of the small progress I have made. I have been working through my house from the front door inwards. I started with the bathroom which, for the most part is finished, now I’m working on the bedroom. Next will be the living room/kitchen and finally the hallway, in some sort of counter-clockwise flow of renovations.

You can read/compare my 2023 home tour here if you’d like:

Hallway

I don’t really have much going on in my hallway, I still want to wallpaper that big plain wall, but maybe that’s a project for next year. This year has been super hectic and sad. I keep all my coats and hats and bags on the back of my front door though, there’s not much storage otherwise, haha!

Bathroom

Still my favourite room in my entire house- it was the first room I had finished and i’m still super proud of it! I got a lot of the ideas for it off Pinterest or TikTok, or just my own imagination!

I keep a little table by the side of my bath as I am writing a novel (or three) and i do a lot of my best work in the bath!

Bedroom

I took these photos in May and it’s now October (whoops!) so this room looks slightly different now, but the top left of my favourite corner of the room! Though by the time next year’s Home Tour post comes out I would have hopefully gotten new drawers so the little books would have to move by then.

Two new additions this year are the photo wall and my AJR wall. AJR are a band I discovered in 2022 and I fell in love with everything about them. I put one of their song quotes on the sun as I thought it fit the vibe of me, and my room.

Really proud of this. I do plan on adding to this wall, one day. But for now these are photos I’ve taken of myself in adventures. I found the quote thing on Etsy and again, I really thought it fit the vibe of the room.

Living Room

I’ve rearranged my living room since this, but I’m always rearranging my living room. I try and keep it as clutter free as possible, I have a keyboard which I’m learning to play, and I try and avoid distractions in my living space.

this is where I keep my Internet router as well as the place where I put my keys so I don’t lose them when I come home, the right picture on my writing certificate which I’ve had since I was a teenager.

Kitchen

my kitchen is super small, but I’ve actually expended one of the countertops to be able to fit my microwave on the counter. I’ve also updated a lot of the stickers on the drawers too to make it look more neat in uniform. my goal for the next year is to get an air fryer to make cooking more simple.
