Introduction
So, early March of this year I went to an Airbnb in Wales. It was called Hillside Cottage and they weren’t joking with that name. It was definitely in a hill. A very steep, very big hill. But the views because of this were lovely. Not to sound like a hippie but sometimes we gotta work hard to see the beauty in the world. Okay Alex, hush now.
It was a very pleasant little cottage, I think it can be found on booking.com and was a little overpriced from what it was but trust me, after staying in two Travelodge’s back to back for the past two weeks, you realised what overpriced airbnbs have that budget chain hotels don’t and you won’t mind paying extra for them.
The Livingroom

This was a cute room. Not really a fan of the yellow theme but I liked those little yellow chairs, I was contemplating adding yellow as a accent colour in my bedroom back home because according to google, yellow is the happiest colour. But with the red? It really is giving ketchup and mustard vibes not gonna lie. Great, now I want a hot dog.

There were big patio doors that opened into the front garden balcony thing. I don’t really know what it was but it was cool! The fire was like one of the super old ones that used real kids but they didn’t have any logs nor did I know where to get logs from so sadly I never got to use it which would have been nice as it was very wet and cold. It’s March in England, what else would you expect?
The Dining Room

A much nicer colour scheme in this room than in the living room, in my opinion. Though, I am only now just realising that the two end chairs are a totally different colour to the other four chairs… maybe I’m not as observant as I let on. They had a thing in the wall saying that they had a 9.0 on booking.com or something like that, and I book for guests to write a comment in (I wrote a nice comment, I promise!)

There was a TV in both this room and in the living room, which considering this trip I went on was smack bang in the middle of my “ew, technology” era, I wasn’t best pleased with, but that’s just me being fussy. Also, I’m fairly sure my parents have that exact picture of trees on their house, brings back a lot of nostalgia for me.
The Kitchen

Pretty small kitchen, but still bigger than my kitchen back home but that really isn’t hard to pull off. I didn’t really come in here much, I ate out or ordered in most nights, so was only in here to use the bin or sink. The radiator was a little yellow and outdated, which is fine but was a stark contrast to the rest of the house. Really hard to complain about a kitchen though.
The Stairs

That title does sound like some sort of murderous Netflix documentary, I don’t have stairs at my house, well I do, but not IN my house so I was like “Ooo stairs! I must take a picture” so here we are. I will say though, these were the steepest and squeakiest stairs I’ve ever known. Even the part of the stairs that are meant to be flat still were slightly slanted… they really are taking this whole mountain vibe seriously.
Bedroom One

This was the bedroom I slept in. I had a look at all three, and this one was the nicest. It was the biggest, lightest and had a nice windowsill to sit on to take pictures! The headless mannequin was a little creepy though, I ended up hanging my hats and camera bag off it.
Bedroom Two

I didn’t really step foot in this room other that to:
A) take this picture the moment I got here and-
B) To watch a cute kitty cat who was playing on that fence outside on the left.
This room looked a little like my nans bedroom and I didn’t want to feel older then I already felt as I was massaging my achy legs after climbing up the… mountain. Also, that dressing table was giving me the creeps, but maybe that’s because I watch too many horror movies.
Bedroom Three

I liked the vibe of this room, very… ocean. But, they’re single beds and, I sleep in a super-king bed at home and I even find regular kings small now, let alone a single bed. But this room also had the big windowsill and a nice wardrobe that was behind me so I didn’t photograph it.

Pretty standard bathroom. I liked the shower, I want one of those showers in my house. But it was such a pain to get to a normal temperature. Turned it on, too cold, turned it up, too hot. Slightly turned it down, freezing. Once I saw how satisfying it was that those three toilet rolls fit in that basket all was well though.
The Garden

I didn’t know whether to call this a garden or a balcony but I think it fits the garden term more. It has a very aesthetically pleasing glass fence along the front which meant for some cool photographs. I went here when the weather was dreadful but I can imagine this garden being a lot better when it is sunny out. Maybe could even benefit from a hot tub or a barbecue.

This was the patio and as you can tell it had been raining all day… ugh. But that was the Airbnb I stayed in, I was very late posting this but I procrastinate more than I would like to admit… I would have linked the place but I couldn’t find it on booking.com today. Perhaps it’s fully booked, I hope people enjoyed reading my ramble!
